She began acting at the age of 13. At the age of 13, Vandervoort made her debut as an actress at the age of 13. Following a variety of courses and performing background work for Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea or Harriet the Spy she landed her voice in the Canadian children's horror anthology Goosebumps. Her appearances on seasons seven and eight were as a regular season character, "Bloodline". She was back on Smallville to appear in two episodes during the final season of the show, also her tenth. 4 After The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort was able to film the sequel to feature film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef.
